post no. 205 -- gotta' keep moving

yesterday was the day of our garage sale and despite a few hiccups {like some guy walking off without paying} the day went over well. i was up at the crack of dawn {5:00 am} getting things set up and we had our first customer around 6:00, a good hour before i had advertised. for around 5 hours of actual work, we didn't do too bad compared to what i typically make in one work day, and every little bit towards this move of ours helps. right about now we are p.o.r. poor {too poor to afford a second vowel, for those of you that were curious}. thankfully in just under two weeks all of this will be behind us and we'll have a gorgeous view to wake up to every morning!

staying positive!

post no. 204 -- the sale of the century, ok fine the weekend.

this weekend, i'll be single-handedly be pulling off the most intense garage sale ever!
jealous? i bet.

buzz is cranking on the ship for the next several months,
so that means no help this weekend.
oh well, i can totally handle it.

best part you ask...
...i'll be selling lemonade!

wish me luck!

post no. 203 -- life, brought to you by instagram

nothing new to report.
typical day at work, wrapping up some things.
surprisingly awake after not getting a lick of sleep last night.
no one did really. poor little family.

today is supposed to be the rest day for marathon training,
but i need my butt kicked, so i'm going to run instead.

yay for goals getting accomplished!

post no. 202 -- topic transitions

i wanted to take a minute to reflect on what i've been mulling over in my head for the last few days. after a lot of thought about my weekly feature posts, i have decided to take a step back from all of the structure and formality of day specific posts. i will no longer be doing matrimony mondays or things i want thursdays. after a good deal of back and forth i have decided that this will actually be the best route to go for the blog, as ultimately this is a lifestyle blog, and although life may have schedules, it should never be predictable. i would still like to continue with my main feature posts of what inspires me wednesdays but instead of posting various topics, i would like to focus my attention each week to a specific inspiration; be it a person, trend, or random nonsense i find on the street.

i really do love this blog, and the entire concept of blogging. like life this project of mine is an experiment that i ultimately hope to grow from. i hope you other bloggers out there feel the same, and if not i hope you rethink this little adventure of a life.

post no. 201 -- and so it begins

i am sitting here beginning this post at exactly 12:00am. not quite wednesday anymore, but close enough. i'm sure you have noticed the change of pace here on the blog. i've been in need of a something to help me feel a bit more grounded considering all that's been changing around here these last several weeks, so blog re-design came as the perfect pick me up.

the majority of our house is in boxes as we prep for our garage sale this weekend. as of yesterday, i've begun the daunting task of deep cleaning and painting all of our walls back to white. as you can see from the pictures, a full size monster + absolutely no grass in the backyard, leads to some fabulous stains, and one exhausted puppy. but with my week long "vacation", starting the week after we officially move in, being approved earlier this morning i can officially say this move is coming right along. i'm optimistic, overwhelmed at the moment, but optimistic.

we still have bits and pieces that are coming together, but i've decided to take kris' advice on this one and just have a little faith that everything will work out just as it is supposed to in the end. god will take you through hell to get you to heaven, right?

i really should be trying to get to bed, but knowing i have yet to post since my one line wonder monday morning has left me tossing and turning quite a bit. bare with me folks, only two more weeks

hope you all are doing well!

post no. 200 -- re-design

Please excuse the mish mosh for now, a re-design is currently in the works!

post no. 199 -- Marathon

Late last night my friend Megan and I decided that we would run a marathon. Don't ask me what put this idea in our heads. Well I take that back, Megan put that idea in my head, but don't ask me what put it in her head. The more I think about the incredible feat ahead of us the crazier I think we just might be. But no matter how crazy, we're going to do it, or get incredible wafer thin trying.

The marathon date is set for December 11th of this year so we have just over 26 weeks to train for just over 26 miles. We just might be in it up to our eyeballs, but we're in it and optimistic. I guess it's one of those things to cross off of a bucket list, if I were old enough to have one. So instead I'll add it to my 20 Things Before 21 List. I guess this addition would make 21 Before 21.

With this new goal on the horizon I presume you'll all be hearing a lot more about my work out regimens, and a lot less about my junk food binges on the sofa watching Glee... I don't admit a thing!

Hope you all are having a fantastic weekend!
