Today was Date Day for Kris and I. He spent the morning making granola pancakes and then we headed out to the Bishop Museum. Museums make me miss family, and my dad especially. Growing up in Southern California, it seems a lot of my childhood was spent trekking through galleries and exhibits. The majority of the museum is dedicated to science and such, but there is a good chunk of Hawaiian history there. We spent more of our time browsing every inch of the history of the early settlements and various monarchies. We both learned a lot, and I definitely recommend it for those visiting the island in the future.
